Brad Spurlock
Pastor FBC Walters
My Story
Brad grew up in Temple, Oklahoma and graduated from Temple High School in 1987. He received a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology with an emphasis in Education from Cameron University. Brad was in the education field for 33 years, teaching and coaching at several schools including Temple and Walters. In 2018, he earned his Master's of Education degree from Cameron University and used that to get his administrative certification. He served as an administrator and the athletic director at Walters Public Schools.
Brad served as the Youth Pastor at Temple FBC from 2007-2010 and again from 2017-2020. In 2020, during the Covid lock down, Brad surrendered to God's call to preach and began preaching by supply. Over the months that followed, he preached in several churches in the area. This led to Randlett Baptist Church calling him to be their pastor in 2021. Brad filled that position for four years.
Brad is passionate about evangelizing the lost, building relationships, and loves working with believers of all ages. He also has a heart for both local and foreign missions. He believes the Church should be the hands and feet of Jesus, connecting the lost world to the Savior by meeting the needs of the local community with compassion, kindness, and love.
Brad has been married to Andra (Minton) Spurlock since 1994. They have three children: Alex, Ethan, and Ashlynn, a daughter-in-law Baily, and one granddaughter Haven.
